Day 1: July 16th – Dublin
This morning, you will land at Dublin Airport. Once you have gone through passport control and have collected your bags, you will head to the Arrivals Hall where you will meet your private or semi- private transfer to our first hotel. You will have time to freshen up, relax, or explore your surroundings at your leisure throughout the afternoon. Your first evening in Ireland will finish with a group dinner and a big ‘cheers’ to a great trip. Overnight: Trinity City Hotel (Dublin) – Welcome Reception & Group Dinner |
Day 2: July 17th – Dublin
After a hearty Irish breakfast, enjoy a visit to EPIC Museum, an interactive showcase that highlights Irish culture, history, and heritage and how it has made a worldwide impact. This will be followed by a self-guided tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Founded in 1191, this historical landmark is world-renowned for its medieval architecture, incredible choir, and, of course, its organ. The latter part of the afternoon is free for you to do as you please. The first performance of the trip will be held at Maynooth College Cathedral. Founded in 1795, this chapel is home to stunning stained-glass designs, expertly crafted features, and a historical organ pipe. The organ was rebuilt in 1927 and again in 1978, with new pipes added, bringing the total number to 2,983, some of which had to lie horizontally so as not to interrupt the view of the Rose Window. After a performance in this unique venue, you will return to the city center after the concert to have dinner on your own in one of the delicious local establishments. Overnight: Trinity City Hotel (Dublin) – Dinner on Own |
Day 3: July 18th – Cork
This morning, say goodbye to the capital city and journey south across the island of Ireland to County Cork. Cork is often referred to as the “true capital” due to its role in the Civil War and Ireland’s fight for independence. Along the way, you will stop in Ireland's medieval city, Kilkenny. The group will enjoy a Train Tour that gives a glimpse into Viking history, medieval architecture, and enchanting quirks that can be found here. After lunch in this charming center filled with history, you will continue to Malzard's traditional Irish pub for an authentic experience in a rural Irish bar with pints, craic, and an insight into GAA. Continue to Cork City and check into your hotel. This evening, you will gather in the hotel for a group dinner. Overnight: The Imperial Hotel and Spa (Cork) – Group Dinner |
Day 4: July 19th – Cork
After fueling up at breakfast, you will embark on a trip to the quaint seaside town of Cobh. This little village is renowned for great seafood, artisanal craft stores, beautiful scenery, and St Colman’s Cathedral, a stunning neo-Gothic church built between 1868 and 1919, known for its intricate carvings and harbor views. The cathedral is also known for its incredible Telford & Telford organ, which is currently being restored by Fratelli Ruffatti. After visiting the cathedral, you will wander down and visit the Titanic Experience Cobh, which is situated at the ill-fated ship's last port of call. You will return to the city later in the afternoon and relax ahead of the second performance of the trip. You will have time to freshen up and dine in one of the incredible restaurants near the hotel. Overnight: The Imperial Hotel and Spa (Cork) – Dinner on Own |
Day 5: July 20th – Cork
Today is your last full day in Cork, so take this time to enjoy a slow start to the morning. The day will kick off with a visit to Cork City Gaol, which illustrates daily life in a 19th-century prison: explore the grounds, wander the corridors, and even get locked into a cell in the prison that Countess Markievicz called “the most comfortable jail” she had ever been in! The group will then take a visit to The Midleton Distillery and sample iconic Irish whiskey at the birthplace of whiskeys like Jameson and Red Breast. Return to the city and explore the surrounding pubs or restaurants. Overnight: The Imperial Hotel and Spa (Cork) – Dinner on Own |
Day 6: July 21st – Limerick
Say goodbye to Cork and journey to Limerick, stopping at Blarney Castle to visit the kissing stone, said to bestow the gift of eloquence and charm, or “the gift of the gab”, on those who kiss it! There will also be a visit to the Blarney Woolen Mills, which is the perfect place for some tea, scones, and some shopping for traditional Irish keepsakes. Continue the journey north to Limerick, where you will check into the hotel and relax ahead of dinner on your own, and the final performance of this trip in St John's Cathedral. The organ, which was inaugurated in May 1864, was a present to the cathedral from the 3rd Earl Dunraven of Adare, Edwin Richard Wyndham-Quin. It was built by the esteemed British organ building company of William Hill & Son. The organ case and most of the original pipes of 1864 remain intact today. It consists of three manuals, a pedal board and 45 speaking stops amounting to more than 2,500 pipes. Overnight: The Savoy Hotel (Limerick) – Group Dinner |
Day 7: July 22nd – Limerick
On your last full day on the Emerald Isle, you will visit the mighty Cliffs of Moher, which tower over 700 ft above the Atlantic Ocean and are home to the puffin bird species. Following this visit to the iconic site, you will return to the hotel and enjoy a final evening banquet at Knappogue Castle. Overnight: The Savoy Hotel – Group Dinner |
